La Morue en Fete 2011, Binic Cod Festival
La Morue en Fete (Cod Festival) is an annual 4 day maritime festival in the traditional fishing port of Binic in the Cotes d'Armour, Brittany, France. The Cod Festival celebrates the great cod fishing expeditions to Newfoundland and Iceland in the 1800s by fleets of 'goelettes' (schooners) - and the mariners who sailed away in hunt of the codfish.
Like all French maritime festivals, the La Morue en fete is a feast of traditional fishing boats, parades of sail, Celtic music, sea shanties, entertainment, seafood, maritime crafts and fireworks.

Sailing Itinerary for the 2011 Binic Cod Festival
- AM Wed 1st June, set sail from Plymouth bound for Binic.
- Thurs 2nd June: Arrive in Binic, there will be crew welcome drinks at 1930.
- Fri 3rd June: All boats sail to the Plouha Cliffs where we'll anchor and then go ashore for a picnic on Gwin Zegal beach. Parade of sail back to Binic for the crew supper.
- Sat 4th June: Enjoy the Binic Morue en fete Cod festival! Fireworks in the harbour at 2300.
- Sun 5th June: Set sail from Binic in the evening bound for Plymouth.
- Mon 6th June: Arrive in Plymouth, Mayflower Marina.
