Plymouth
Plymouth is Josefine's home port so most sailing trips and holidays start and finish in Plymouth. Josefine has her own deep water mooring overlooking Mount Edgcumbe, on the Cornish side of Plymouth Sound.
Join Josefine for an afternoon or evening sailing trip, taking in the scenery and sea life of Plymouth Sound - there's nothing like a sunset at sea.
Plymouth Sound is a large sheltered area of water, with a choice of beautiful coves and beaches to anchor off -ideal for day trips.
If it’s exceptionally windy, or you fancy seeing the area of outstanding natural beauty of the Tamar Valley from the water, there is the options of sailing on Josefine up the River Tamar.

The whole of Plymouth Sound is a designated marine conservation zone, and although we don’t offer specific sea safari sailing trips you are likely to see a variety of sea life and marine birds during a sailing trip on Josefine –so bring those binoculars!
The Wildlife Trust and the Green Blue have produced a free guide to marine wildlife containing beautiful colour illustrations of marine wildlife, which you may see on a trip on Josefine.

Every year at the end of July the Plymouth Classics is held in Sutton Harbour in the Barbican area of Plymouth.
Plymouth Classics is an exciting five-day boat show and festival with dozens of beautiful traditional boats, racing in Plymouth Sound and music in the evenings.
The Plymouth Classics is always part of Josefine's sailing calendar, with the opportunity to join Josefine for either part or all of the event. Join Josefine for a day out to remember sailing in one of the classic boat races in the Sound, or make it a holiday and stay for several days and nights on Josefine in the heart of the Barbican enjoying all the crew priviledges and entertainment in the evenings as well as sailing during the day.
Visit the Sailing Calendar for details of this year's sailing trips during the Plymouth Classics.

If you want a taste of adventure but can only spare a day, ask us about a day sail around Plymouth's famous Eddystone Lighthouse.
Sailing trips and holidays normally start and finish at Mayflower Marina as they have parking, excellent facilities and a restaurant so you are able to enjoy a drink and some food after your sail and share your tales of the high seas!
